our hotel for the first and last day would be similar and for the rest of the journey, we would be moving to different hotels for every night. the entire tour plan would only start on the second day as we had to wait for the rest of the tour members to arrive.
so, we went shopping!!! at XIMENDING! one of the places i'd always wanted to go. shopped ard and ate their famous mee sua and snow ice. very yummy! thn, it was free time for the rest of the day... we decided to visit the miramar shopping centre where the second biggest in south east asia's ferris wheel is located. had our dinner at one of the chinese restaurant and well, the food was ok... (bascially, most of the food we had in taiwan dun really suit the singaporean taste.. so.. it was ok for the whole journey except for a few...) our tour guide gave our family 3 free coupons for the ferris wheel and we went for the ride... we had to buy another ticket though. our family was the biggest grp among the tour grp as we had 8 of us! only we cousins went up on the ferris wheels.. the adults took a rest on ground. we went shopping ard afterwards and i got a new wallet and an umbrella!
the second day, we set of for yi lan, yeh liu, jiu fen, nanfanau, nantien temple, su hua national road and stayed at hua lien. the bus journey was long and torturous. went to yeh liu's national park whereby nature's force sculptured amazing creations which resembles 'queen's head, fairy's shoe, elephant, camel'. thn, we moved on to chiu fen, an old mining site wif interesting histories.... bought muah chee and a tao di there and well.. the rain fell on us... we were considered lucky as the previous tour grp, had to endure 7 days of rain through the entire 7 days of journey.. we were lucky to get sunshine everyday... anyway... after chiu fen, went to the nantien temple.. it was the maju temple i think.. got gold and jade statue inside.. didn went in.. had my pure milk ice-cream by the streets! our hotel for the night was at hua lien's 5 star hotel!! very nice!!! got indoor and outdoor swimmin pool!!! the indoor one had a hot spring! my aunt and i went to enjoy the gym facilities b4 goin for a dip.. my adidas watch spoilt while i had my dip.. sad... i thought it was waterproof...
